last week i spoke with the arts and humanities council of tulsa who are VERY supportive and think this is a great idea. their president has agreed to help me put together a formal proposal, budget, etc. and possibly seek some grant money. i’m not too worried about that since the cost is not going to be very much at all (and i’m not looking to make any money out of this at all) but…at the very least i will have things down on paper and can formally be able to communicate about what it is that i want to do.
i am also in touch w/ the head of the culture and language preservation program, mr. talee recorn with the osage tribe. he’s got the project info, some examples of my previous work and a basic outline of what i want to do. the osage are very supportive as well. he’d mentioned to me that he would review everything and get back with me. i hope to make it up to pawhuska to meet with him soon.
